At the Heli Lounge Bar, you get to sip down your cocktail while enjoy the view of Kuala Lumpur City during the evening, and watch as the city slowly glows up at night.
About Heli Lounge Bar
One of the most remarkable ways to enjoy the nightlife of Kuala Lumpur is to visit a sky bar. We have made our way to the Heli Lounge Bar during one of the weekdays. It is a real functioning Helipad during the day, and it turns into a bar in the evening. We arrived around 6pm in the evening, in hope to catch a glimpse of the sunset that every blog has promised.
While the building itself was a little old, the place does look pretty nice when we reach the 34th floor. The 34th floor is the Heli Lounge indoor bar, while the rooftop is a open concept. Note: You do have to go to level 34 in order to go up to the rooftop via stairs.
Entrance Fee
The entrance fee is RM50 for each pax, which comes with a cocktail drink of your choice. We’ve got ourselves the Lychee Martini and a beautiful turqoise blue cocktail called Hellusion (Citrusy with a mix of Vodka, Coconut Rum, Triple Sec, Pineapple and Lemon Juice).
Our Experience
Once we’ve got our drink at the counter in level 34, we head upstairs to the rooftop, climbing two flights of stairs while balancing our drinks on our hands. We were amazed by the spectacular 360-degree view.
There were already quite some people during the weekdays, I could imagine that it would probably be crowded during the weekends. The helipad area is “fenced” and decorated with tables and chairs, high tables and charis, and some really unique looking lounge areas, definitely insta-worthy.
During the night, the whole city lited up and we get to see the beautiful Petronas Twin Tower from our seats.
Food at Heli Lounge Bar
On their menu, Heli Lounge Bar serves a variety of drinks, cocktails and wine, but quite limited on food. We’ve ordered the Glazed Heli Wings (RM28), Cheezy Loaded Waffle Fries (RM25), and Cheezy Garlic Pizza (RM32).
The Glazed Heli Wings and Cheezy Loaded Waffle Fries were good, while the Cheezy Garlic Pizza was just okay for us.
Relief to see there’s a safety Buffer Zone at the rooftop area.
